Having lived through the Y2K era and the technological transition that followed, the founder has seen how periods of uncertainty surrounding new technology can eventually become part of everyday business and life. That experience shapes the founder’s perspective on the current growth of artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.

The opportunity is not viewed in isolation. Technological and infrastructure development takes place within real communities and landscapes, alongside questions about business, employment, energy, water, land and regional growth.

As society embraces the potential and capabilities of artificial intelligence, the founder believes there is also a shared responsibility to respect the environment and to honour the lands and waters in which new infrastructure and economic activity develop, while remaining mindful of the people and communities connected to those places.
